He keeps meowing every 10 seconds. I assume he's inviting me to play, but I have something else I need to be doing.
How do I get him to stop? I've tried ignoring him but it won't work. I also can't leave the room (I live in a studio apartment).

Awe that's so cute! Perhaps try setting him on your bed/building something that allows him to get on your bed if he can't make the jump. He may be trying to get up to see you.
With time, I'd assume he will stop meowing. My cats used to meow a lot, but now it is usually only when we talk to them or when they want attention.

That sounds like stress or pain, have you checked him out?
If nothing physical then play hard with him with a kitty teaser toy and give him some wet food and tired and full tummy should send him off to nap.
