How long cat live ?

how long wild cat live ?

Answer

Cathead:
Cats can live from 12-20 years. My brother had one who went 22. However, cats are delicate animals. Small scratches from other cats can quickly become badly infected and abscessed.

If not kept up on their shots, are prone to many diseases that transmit easily like rabies, Feline HIV and Leukemia and distemper. They also can get bad worm infestations. As a result, cats are not low maintenance animals.

They require attention and routine check ups. Fleas drive them crazy, ear mites make them insane. I have had several cats not make it to 9. Hyper-thyroids, liver disease, and just dropping dead for no reason visible.

Getting your cat fixed is also important. Male cats are more aggressive towards other cats (especially males) and get into fights. This causes injuries resulting in infections and the spreading of other diseases. Get females fixed as we have enough cats and nothing is as irritating as a cat in heat.

In the wild, the life expectancy of a feral cat is about 2 years. Disease and illness complicated by worms, fleas, infection, starvation, bad water and other animals drastically shortens their lives. The old saying "Cats in the wild do fine. They are cats after all." is a lie. Cats do horrible in the wild.

Victoria:
Now i was told a "wild animal", so thus why (i'm sorry) I do not agree with the best answer.
Yes, i'd have to admit that yes all said is true, but "rotorhead" did not hit the topic: Wild Cat"
The way i understood this is WILD ( Tiger, Lion, Panther, etc.) Not FERAL ( Cats who where abandoned have feral kits.)

Now after all the talk this is the "wild" animal answer: a wild cat ( as in the cat kind ) can live from five to ten years.

Why?
1 simply because cats who live in the wild cannot survive with strong wound ( witch they very often get from fights) or if they do they always end up weak and then get chased out of their pack.
 (group/family)
after wich they cant survive, of hunting disabilitys. So? mother nature solution: shorter life= less chance of getting hurt in battle.

2 because most big cats are becoming extinct and they have to have babies. Look: a person lives 70 years so he has babies when he is 25: roughly quarter of the life time.
BUT! if a person was to live 20 years he would have babies at around age 3 or 4.
Do You Get It?
