Dog Breeders in Georgia

Ask: My family has been getting ready for a pet for a while now. We went to the local shelter and all they have are adult pit mixes and one German shepherd.
But when we ask to to see the shepherd he bit the sh*t out of the worker so we figured getting a dog from a breeder is best.
But we went to one last month it turned out to be a animal hoarder.
We haven't agreed to witch breed we would best fit so. does not mater what they breed we're just looking for one that has healthy pups

Here's where your making a mistake. The breed you choose DOES matter. It matters greatly. Even when you go to a shelter and pick a dog, what that breed or mix of dog is Will also matter.

So, the very first thing you need to do, is you and your family need to figure out what breed or type of mix is the right dog for your home.

You have to figure out: What your the energy level of your home is? Are you looking for a low key pet or one to go jogging? What amount of grooming are you looking to do? At home quick brushing or professional grooming every 6 weeks which cost money?

Do you want a small dog? Big Dog? Medium sized dog? What traits are you looking? A collie, Border Collie, Corgi and mixes of these type of dogs will herd...they'll herd the kids, they'll herd other pets, they can be barkers. A hound or hound mix is going to be more independent and be obsessed with tracking animals.

BTW, when I bred my litter and had my pups, I wouldn't even consider a person who called and had no clue about the breed. Wouldn't even consider. If something as simple as choosing and learning about a particular breed of dog, that you will be spending possibly 11-15 years with, then my assumption is you won't be committed to the training, exercise and socialization required for that particular breed or mix.
