How long will it take for a cat injury to heal?

Ask: My cat got a piece of his lip cut off while outside and theres no way we can get him to the vet until saturdat since its Christmas eve. Is there anything i can do right now to keep it from getting worse in a sense? He isnt licking it or anything so any advice??

Narissa: ER vets open 24/7 365. But since you're obviously not taking him, just don't let him back outside and take him on Saturday, even if it appears to be healing. 

Laura: Obviously do not let him outside again.
If you can take him to an emergency vet. In my city there are two. This cat needs stitches before he has to have that piece of flesh removed, which can cause issues later on in life. 

Ryan: best advice is don't let him irritate it. You just hold him by the fire. and let him sleep. if he hurts idk how cats are with pain pills. google medicine cats can have. because there are alot that are helpful.. I give my dogs aspirin when they hurt
