As I am writing this tears are prohibiting me a bit, so forgive me for
the improper grammar. My kitty has been with us for almost 2 years and
she has received everything from my family. Baths, food, water, love and
attention yet she has been running away. It takes 2 hours just to bring
her back inside. She is currently in her heat stage or mating stage,
and she isn't fixed. I'm slowly losing hope and she's outside now,
hissing and screaming at us all as we try to bring her back in. She
keeps running away from us and I don't know what to do. Please help
me..please..

I am sorry that you are sad but most pets (dogs and cats) have to be
fixed if you plan to keep them as indoor pets. Its in cats feral nature
to want to be outside. Add being in heat to that and you have the
simple reason why your female cat wants to run away.
She cannot help
herself and she doesn't understand why you keep bringing her indoors.
If you want to keep her as a docile animal, you have to spay her like
right now. Otherwise, you will have to let her go.
It isn't that the
cat doesn't love you, but everything in her body is telling her to go
find a mate. You may have to let her go and start over with a kitten
that you can spay and train.
Once a cat gets a taste of the outdoors it
is very difficult to re-integrate them into being an indoors pet.
Mark:
An unspayed or unnuetered cat will make many relationshis, but that
does not mean its relationship with home is diluted. Because of the
stability of its home, it can and will venture farther.
The first half of a cat's life, it determines who it can trust. The second half is sticking to those trusts. She'll be home more as she ages.

Elaine:
She's gone because she's out mating. GET HER FIXED!
I'd also, if I were you, look into building a 'catio' (google it, there's great pictures of them) so she can have outside time and be safe.

1) don't let her outside
2) get her fixed so she won't want to go mate
3) make sure there aren't any other cats around your house (it will make her more territorial)
4) cats come home on theor own usually...
