I have a 6-year old male cat and today I brought a 6 month old male cat
home. My old cat is very nice and loving and isn't mean so I figured he
wouldn't be but as soon as he saw the cat he hissed at it and now is
hiding under the bed and hasn't come out for hours , accept once when he
saw the cat again hissed twice and went back to where he was.
I tried
to pet him and give him a cloth with the cats sent on it and he doesn't
give. He doesn't budge from under the bed. He also lets out a huge deep
long growling sound when I come near him. Any thing to do to make them
friends soon because my mom is giving the baby away if they don't get
along

You
have to introduce cats very slowly to each other and do it in small
steps and only move onto the next step once the one before it has been
successful and it's better to wait until it's been successful more than
once.
I just introduced 2 female kittens to my 3 male cats and a 12 year old female cat to the 2 female kittens and 3 male cats, and it took over a month before they could be out and about with each other (at least when someone is around), they are still separated at night and when no one is home just so there are no problems (this will last for another few months just to make sure they are completely comfortable with each other).
The site in the sources is the site I used when I started introducing my cats and it has worked out wonderfully, so I would take a look at it and try it and you should have success as long as you don't rush the process.

It takes a long time for animals who are foreign or new to eachother to
get along. He may be nice to humans but, it could be a whole other
story because the male cats try to dominate the territory in a sense.
Slowly expose them to eachother and don't expect them to get along the
first day they meet.
