My niece, 5yo, accidentally dropped our puppy on the floor?

Ask: Now he is pooping blood, couldn t walk and doesn t have an appetite. There is no near vet clinic here in our place. We don t know what to do.

Answer

Verulam:
If the puppy was dropped and is now producing blood in his stools (or from elsewhere!) HE NEEDS VETERINARY ATTENTION. If you want to save him, you have to find a vet.

Scooby:
You should not have allowed your 5 year old niece to hold the puppy, unless she was sitting on the floor, (not standing up) so if she did drop the puppy, the puppy would not be badly injured like he is now.

If the puppy has blood in his stool or is bleeding from anywhere else, cannot walk, he is not going to want to eat and he has some LIFE THREATENING INTERNAL INJURIES, caused by the fall. The puppy will DIE, if you don't stop wasting time he does not have, get off your computer, find a vet and drive as far as you have to to get this puppy to a vet, to try to save it's life. You are supposed to be responsible for this puppy's welfare.

You say you have no vets were you live. Then you should have never gotten a puppy to begin with, without having a vet lined up to take the puppy to. If you don't want this puppy to die a horrible death and have to bury the puppy, then you better get moving NOW and get him to an EMERGENCY VET. I'm sure you will find one somewhere, if you look hard enough.

Daniel:
If there isn't any vets or clinics nearby, why did you bought a dog? Aren't you the bright one.
Of course this puppy is seriously hurt. Pooping blood is a serious issue, and will mostly die out of your neglect.

Because of you, the death of this puppy will remain forever in your niece.

With any luck this prevents you and your family for ever owning a dog again, and commiting the same mistake.

Happy new year, because the puppy sure won't have it.

Knight:
Why weren't you supervising then this wouldn't have happened?

There are vet available 24/7, find one, and take it to one no matter how far away. Instead of allowing it to suffer which is a felony punishable by fines/jail time.

Then turn it into a shelter/rescue where it will get the care it will need and possibly a home that Really Cares.

LakeLady:
You'll have to get him to a vet. Rest in a warm dark place might help him heal and it's possible for him to recover on his own but it sounds like his legs are broken and he has internal bleeding. Only a vet can help with that. WHY on earth was a 5 year old holding a puppy?
