Tips for taking a kitten on a 3 hour car ride?

My boyfriend and I are going away this weekend for 2 nights and are considering taking out 3 1/2 month old kitten. 

She goes on car rides all the time and actually enjoys so I know she won t be nervous, but she has never been on a ride for that long. 

What should we do as far as when she needs to pee or poop? And are there any other things to make the car ride more enjoyable and safe for her?
