She is recommended 1-4
pouches but she manages to eat almost 1 pouch only of wet food. She
drinks the kitten milk a bit but doesn't really drink water....she's
pooed once since I had her which I about 4/5 days, she's gone to wee
daily..what to do? Is there a problem?
Answer
Mamma Cat:
I
foster many kittens. Some come to me that were eating well and now
won't eat. What do I do? I have to find a wet food that they will eat.
I have found that Fussie cat makes great cat food to get my kittens to
eat. I do NOT recommend it as a complete diet, but, I start out with a
teaspoon full (mixed with a little water) and they usually dive in.
Then I mix it with a canned kitten food and they will continue to eat.
Do NOT giv a 9 week old kitten kMR. She needs to eat wet kitten food for best health.
Jack:
Are
you feeding her what she was used to eating in the home she came from?
Same brand, same flavor? She's not pooping because she isn't eating.
She is also upset at being uprooted from her siblings. Does she have
free run of the house?
That may be too much for her. Try confining her
- with food and litter - in one room like your bedroom and shut the
door. She may feel more secure and will eat then. Confine her and be
sure to feed what she was eating. If she is not eating by Monday get
her in to the vet as she's going to get dehydrated quickly and become
ill.
ETA: of course, ignore the post from the troll about toxoplasmosis. Clearly he/she has nothing better to do.

Make
sure you get little kitty tested for toxoplasmosis it is a brain eating
parasite that can be transmitted to humans? You don't want that one
because there is no cure.
(1) It can only reproduce in the belly of the CAT intestine and no other living creature.
(2) it can live on surfaces where a cat has walked for 18 months on feet,
Do you think we need Laws to protect us from Brain eating Parasites that is carried by cats?
