How do you find out if you cat is pregnant?

How do you find out if you cat is pregnant?

Answer

My CatPregnant:
My cat got pregnant and had kittens once, so I'm telling you this from experience.

At least 3 of these things will happen over the 2 months gestation period:
- You will see that your cat's teats have gotten larger(So she can nurse)
- Your cat's belly will become more round, be careful NOT to pick her up during this time and to be very gentle with her.
- Your cat may throw up during the first few weeks, this is morning sickness.

If she is pregnant, find a comfortable box/crate for her to give birth in A FEW WEEKS before she is due so she may get used to it and approve it as her "nest" Taking her to the vet is also ideal if you don't know the proper way to help a cat in labor, so I suggest you learn more or plan to take her to the vet.

When she is in labor, you will see her hyperventilating, and having contractions every so often. Do not be alarmed if she yowls. This is normal, as having babies is painful for any species.

Anonymous:
Their belly will start to get harder and wider. Closer to the date she will deliver she will start looking for a place to give birth start going in cuboards and closets.

But to be sure she is pregnant not just ill take her to the vet they might say it is too early then take her again a few months after to have an ultra sound.

Myth:
When she is close to the day that she gives birth, take her to the vet for an ultrasound. The only other way to tell is to wait until she has the kittens.
