Julie: Cropping is usually done between 8-12 weeks old, but since Pits get a short crop, many Vets will still do it up to 16 weeks old.
Narissa: I believe no later than 16 weeks, the longer you wait the shorter you need to crop to have a chance of them standing up right.
Oh, and plenty of vets still crop. Dobermans and Boxers get ear crops alllllll the time, Pitbulls the same. Just find a vet that is knowledgeable.
Anonymous: I don't think you chop parts of a child's ear off when you pierce them. There is a reason it is illegal in a lot of places and a reason most vets refuse to do it.
