NO. Most dogs are lactose intolerant, and do not require milk once they've been weaned and/or any dairy products.
As you now have seen you caused this intestinal upset.
If you're concerned contact your vet for advice, there will be a recording directing you to a 24/7 vet on call.
Verulam:
Most dogs are lactose intolerant, so it's not a good idea to give anything other than goats milk, if needed (becaue it's close in make-up to b itch milk), to a dog.
But basically once weaned onto solids, dogs don't need milk!
You'll most probably be looking forward to some diarrhoea. But that too 'shall pass'. Just don't do this again.
Sandy:
Well, if you don t want to stay up all night on Christmas, don t give your dog a full mug of milk.
Either stay up and let the poor thing go out with the runs, or wake up tomorrow morning and clean up dog shits everywhere.
Either way, it s not your poor dog s fault. It s yours.
