Answer
Julie:
Our old cat Tom is constantly under my feet in the kitchen and I've stepped on his feet more times than I can count. He screams bloody murder, I apologize, give him a few pats and he's good as new.
I also have to apologize when I accidentally kick any of them. Yesterday morning I was getting out of bed half asleep and I didn't realize our Mocha was on the bed. Poor kitty--I kicked him in the face and knocked him clear off the bed. I felt horrible.
Warren:
I would. Fortunately I don't step on their tails too often, but we always talk to our cats anyway, telling them how beautiful they are (Ocicats are just GORGEOUS!) and what good kitties they are (best behaved felines ever to own us, going back over 40 years). My first cat (60 years ago, at age 8) was a cute female silver tabby Manx, so tails were not a problem!
Angela:
Yes definately, its not a matter of apologize to your cat but on a
broader context it is showing respect to life. All life deserve love n
respect. You can start with your cat n eventually you will develop d
deceny many people lack in today's world.
Cordelia:
Of course it is, I apologize anytime I accidentally step on one of my
cats or kick them by accident. And they know what it means too, as soon
as I say I’m sorry, they come up and rub against because they realize I
didn’t mean it.
Lemon:
Haha well I'm afraid saying "sorry!" Won't do much. Although I do it sometimes.
What I do is say sorry and pick them up and pet them. I think petting them is letting them know you meant no harm.
