Now I can not get them to leave the house to do their business, if I try to take them out they will howl and attack! They have a litter tray that I would like gone as it smells so bad but they regularly won't use it and just use our floors and/or clothes as their own personal litter tray.
One of them was sick all over my kitchen bench where I prepare my kids food a few minutes ago. They steal food and claw my furniture. I don't want to get rid of them as its the first home they've ever known, but what can I do? They are causing so many problems!
Answer:
Science Time: I'll tell you exactly what to do. You call each and every rescue/adoption agency in your area and see if any of them will let you "foster" them and join the adoption fairs to find these poor things a forever home. Your not a pet owner. You shouldn't HAVE cats. Please get them new homes. Their litter stinks because YOU don't clean it twice a day. They don't use it because you won't clean it. They steal food because you're not training them: you NEED to give them a chance to actually have a real owner, not someone who barely tolerates them.
PLEASE DO NOT put them out to be killed. THere is NO SUCH THING as an "indoor/outdoor" cat. The opposite of a cat who lives 100% of the time indoors is a dead cat.
Star-of-darknes: So you stole a pair of cats and now want to throw them outside to be killed or stolen becouse you are both selfish and lazy. Since you are too lazy to clean the litter box surrender the poor cats and never get another pet
P: Take them to a rehome centre and explain the problem. Tell them you cant cope anymore. They may be happier rehomed to some one who has a farm and livestock where they can live out in the barn and do their business outside
