Answer

Amos:
She is VERY likely pregnant - that's the WHOLE purpose in her ESCAPE. Yes, you should be worried.

If a dog of a breed or mix larger than she is bred her, she will NOT be able to birth the puppies and will need a C-section that will COST TWO Thousand dollars (or MORE).

Ask your vet for an EXACT price. If she is less than two years of age, she is NOT considered mature enough (physically) to be having a litter. And in 30% (THIRTY PERCENT) of all whelpings there is some DEATH and that can include the MOTHER.

Have you priced what it will cost for a whelping box, the feedings, wormings, shots for an entire litter of puppies, advertising the litter, and the vet fees for a MUTT litter (which is worthless (esp if she was bred by several SIRES) versus a gravid spay?

Oh BTW, if she got bred by multiple dogs or mutts, she may have contracted brucellosis (sexually transmitted disease) and now, can can't be bred (for another litter) by any reputable purebred stud dog, EVER.

Bluebonnet:
Oh, I would worry. I would worry a lot. I would also be ashamed I didn't get her spayed long before she went into heat. or at least kept her safe while she was in heat.

She is just a baby, in human years she is only 3 1/2 yrs old & pregnant. Isn't that just disgustingly sick? Yes. I would worry. I would take her & get an emergency spay/abort.

There are a couple of options for this, discuss them with your Vet & go with what & how he wants to do it. You have to stop this pregnancy.

John:
A. You should have been a responsible owner and had her spayed already.
B. Have her spayed now.

No need for despair or long, detailed, silly questions. Simple issue to solve. Have her spayed. Why can't people figure out these simple things for themselves?

Cdog:
She's too young to have puppies. Just get her in for a gravid spay. No need to bring any more random bred dogs into the world.

Laura:
Yes, you should be worried. You need to take her to the vet, see if she is pregnant, and decide if you want to do a gravid spay. I recommend it, because she is far too young to have puppies.

Casey:
You should WORRY. she's way to young to be having puppies and it could be FATAL to her and the puppies, Get her an emergency spay NOW

Paul:
wellness check with your vet ....gravid spay now .....health care what a great concept
