My mother wants to get rid of my cats kittens prematurely .?

Ask: My cat recently had a litter of five kittens the kittens will be at eight weeks of age January 11th . However my mom has little patience and is constantly yelling at me telling me to get rid of them . The kittens are eating wet and dry food , but they don t know the litter box and the mom is slowly teaching them how to behave .

I try to convince my mom that we should just keep them until there ready , but she continues to say things like noooo there finnneee , or seriously titi there on my head every morning get rid of them ! But idk why she says that when I take care of them ? But anyways she wants to get rid of them and I don t want them to think they ve been abandoned,or not know things the mother was supposed to teach them please help !

You could show her information from the SPCA website or have her call Animal Control to give her accurate information (that she will believe) about the appropriate age to separate kittens and their mothers.

And you could stop procrastinating and line up some people who agree now to take the kittens when they are old enough.
She doesn't want you waiting until they are old enough and then starting to look for new homes.
It would reassure her if you found the new homes before they were ready to go to those homes. (The kittens should be with their mother between your finding the new owner and you getting the kitten to the new owner.)

Get that cat spayed - set up the appointment as soon as the unintended cats get homes - and she should never be going outside. Cats that go outside get diseases (fatal and horrible), attacked by wild animals, and other "pets" that shouldn't be outside, they get pregnant (we have too many cats being killed in shelters as it is), and their lives are shortened.

We've had to take 3 cats who came up to our porch, probably someone's pets, who were horrifically injured by getting hit by cars or attacked by other animals. ALL THREE WERE EUTHANIZED - do you want to hear about the gangrene in the intestines of one poor little thing? Or the eye hanging off the other's cheek? How about the one whose belly fur was gone and the skin bleeding from crawling on his belly with 4 broken legs? I had to give that poor boy morphine before I could even move him into a cage. THAT"s the end result of people letting their animals outside: I take them in and I stay to hold them while they are euthanized.

As for the kittens, yes, it is too soon. Check ASPCA or Human Society websites. You should probably get them to a good rescue/adoption agency: that way, when they are adopted, the forever homes will have been checked out, the KITTENS WILL BE SPAYED/NEUTERED, and the new families would have signed pledges never EVER to let those kittens go outside.

I got my kitten two weeks ago she was 4 weeks old she was way to young to leave her mom I wished that I had gotten a kitten that was 12 weeks old mine is still only eating milk replacer and no food I try a new food with her everyday to see of today will be the day she eats but it does worry me that she will be a fussy eater she did eat one thing a mouse but really I don't want frozen mice in my freezer gag your doing good keeping them until they are of age talk with your mom and make a deal with her you put an ad up now on kijiji and they will be gone when they are X weeks old with their new families I think you are being responsible on keeping your kittens with their mom until they are ready to go

Star_of_Darkness:
Nothing you can do. You cared nothing for the cat since you bred it so you can sell mutt kittens that will be dumped in shelters to die or be bred to produce more mutt cats to be killed while kittens in shelters die due to you being greedy.

You are a child so you can't own the cat at all and can't own the kittens have no rights to the cat or kitten and NO say what so ever in your mom getting rid of them
