Dogs can only see blue and yellow and so cant tell between the go and stop lights. Thats why they suck at driving.

Its never a good idea for an owner to try and teach a dog to drive.
Just like its not good for a husband to teach his wife.
The dog needs proper lessons by a qualified driving instructor.
